Based in Columbus, Ohio, Cavanagh is a native of New York City, and a graduate of Otterbein College, where he served as editor of the student newspaper, Tan and Cardinal.
Cavanagh's editing experience includes a wide variety of both media and business publications. He began his editing career as a sports editor and columnist for Hurt Publications, a chain of 14 weekly broadsheets. His column, Keeping Score, ran weekly in Hurt newspapers and continued through his time with The Dispatch Company--where he served as a publications editor at ThisWeek. During his tenure with Hurt/ThisWeek, Cavanagh served as editor of Northland ThisWeek, The Grove City Record, South-Western ThisWeek and The Worthington News. Scott was the co-creator and editor of Wired.net and is the editor and publisher of BarkBackNews.com.
A news photographer since high school, Scott Cavanagh's photos have appeared alongside news and sports articles in dozens of daily and weekly newspapers for over 20 years. His corporate and marketing work has been featured in small business publications and major corporate annuals.
